If you do not have access to the app or have uninstalled it, you can request deletion directly below using your registered email address. We will send a secure verification link to your email to confirm the deletion.

Enter the email address associated with your EchoMastery Pro account. We will send you a secure verification link to confirm the deletion.

2. In-App Deletion (Self-Service) / Löschung in der App

Users logged into EchoMastery Pro can delete their account at any time directly within the application:

  1. Log in to EchoMastery Pro in the mobile app or on the web at app.echokardio.de.
  2. Open the Account tab in the navigation, or visit Account & Billing Settings.
  3. Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
  4. Click Delete Account, enter your password or request an email confirmation link (for Google or Apple sign-in users), and confirm the deletion.

You may also request complete account and data deletion by sending an email from your registered account address to:

Deletion requests received by email are processed and confirmed within 48 to 72 hours.

4. Data Deleted and Data Retained / Löschungsumfang und Aufbewahrungsfristen

In accordance with Google Play Store User Data policies and Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the following policy applies when an account is deleted:

Data Permanently Deleted:

  • Account & Authentication: Name, email address, hashed passwords, OAuth account identifiers (Google, Apple), and active sessions.
  • Learning & Activity Records: Course progress, topic completion history, and saved bookmarks.
  • Calculators & Clinical Data: Saved echocardiographic calculator inputs and customized presets.
  • Active Subscriptions: Any active Stripe or Apple recurring subscriptions are canceled immediately so that no future charges occur.
  • Device & Push Tokens: All registered device tokens and notification subscriptions are erased.

Data Retained and Retention Period (Legal Compliance):

  • Statutory Tax & Financial Records: Invoices, payment transaction identifiers, and VAT records are retained in accordance with mandatory German commercial and tax regulations (Handelsgesetzbuch § 257 HGB and Abgabenordnung § 147 AO) for the legally prescribed statutory period of up to 10 years. These records are strictly restricted to tax and accounting compliance and are never used for any other purpose.
  • Backup Archives: Encrypted system backup snapshots are retained for disaster-recovery purposes and are automatically overwritten and purged within 30 days.

Rechtliche Hinweise auf Deutsch

Nutzer der App „EchoMastery Pro“ (Paketname: com.echomastery.pro, Entwickler: Felix Kirsch / Dr. med. Christian Kirsch) haben gemäß Art. 17 DSGVO jederzeit das Recht auf unverzügliche Löschung ihrer personenbezogenen Daten (Recht auf Vergessenwerden). Die Löschung kann eigenständig in den Kontoeinstellungen vorgenommen, über das obige Webformular verifiziert oder formlos per E-Mail an support@echokardio.de beantragt werden. Nach Bestätigung werden Profil-, Lern- und Nutzungsdaten unwiderruflich gelöscht. Gesetzliche Aufbewahrungspflichten nach § 257 HGB und § 147 AO (z. B. für steuerrechtlich relevante Rechnungsdaten) bleiben hiervon gemäß Art. 17 Abs. 3 lit. b DSGVO unberührt.
